After 40 years in the entertainment industry, Elizabeth Hansen was weary of conventional film and theatre. It was expensive to produce, almost impossible to get distribution, and just completely exhausting.
After producing a musical Off-Broadway in New York City in the fall of 2019, she returned home and had a new plan in place. She informed her film producing partner, Ken Harris, that she was switching gears to write and produce audio dramas, as they were more creatively fulfilling, less expensive to produce, and just downright fun.
Ken was fully supportive of Elizabeth, and soon caught the audio drama bug. Shortly after, he came up with the idea for an audio drama streaming service where only audio dramas would live, saving listeners from the exhausting task of searching for that perfect audio drama.
Shortly after, Dramafy was born.
Ken has worked in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years in film and television production. Ken worked for over 10 years with National Geographic Television, and he currently serves as co-owner of Thunder Media Group, an innovative production company based in Provo, Utah.
